The fine print, in plain English.
These terms govern your use of ChronicOS, operated by ChronicOS Pty Ltd (ABN 77 699 152 460), Sydney, Australia. By joining the waiting list or using the app, you agree to them.
ChronicOS is not medical advice.
ChronicOS is a self-tracking tool that helps you record how you're doing and notice patterns in your own data. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a medical device. Any patterns or insights it surfaces are observational, may be coincidental, and are not a clinical judgement.
Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your health and before making any changes to your care, medication, or treatment. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, call 000 (or your local emergency number) — do not rely on ChronicOS.
Who can use ChronicOS
ChronicOS is intended for adults aged 18 and over. By using it, you confirm you're 18 or older and that the information you give us is accurate.
This is a beta
ChronicOS is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during the beta. Features may change, pause, or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. While we work hard to keep your data safe, please don't treat ChronicOS as your only record of important health information — keep your own copies of anything you need.
Your account
You sign in with your email. Keep access to that email secure, and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
- Use ChronicOS lawfully and for your own personal health tracking.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other people's data.
- Don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product from the app.
- Don't rely on ChronicOS in an emergency or as a substitute for professional care.
Your data and privacy
The health information you log is yours. How we collect, use, store, and protect personal information — and the layered, opt-in consent around any research use — is explained in our Privacy notice. You can manage consent and request export or deletion of your data at any time.
Our content
The ChronicOS app, design, and branding belong to ChronicOS Pty Ltd. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for tracking your own health while these terms apply. We don't claim ownership of the data you enter.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChronicOS is provided without warranties, and we aren't liable for decisions made in reliance on the app or its insights. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can't be excluded but can be limited, it's limited to re-supplying the service.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using ChronicOS and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the service or its users. We'll give reasonable notice where we can.
Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms as ChronicOS develops and before the full launch. If we make material changes, we'll let registered users know.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
